The ones I see in their native habitat are mostly green. I have seen a blue one however. A famous picture here is of a dumpy eating a species of snake called a "bandy bandy' This snake has black and white bands running along its body.

1:48 Is not always the case, in fact, i have a Whites Tree Frog housed togeter with an American Green Tree frog, Note that i have had them together for over 3 years, with no problems, and they are usually near each other, alot of people say you should not house them together, but mine has done very well, the proof is in the 3 years that ive had them housed together.

  22. TheTriforceCrusader January 29, 2015 at 3:47 am

I have a cute little White's that I have had for at least 5 years. There was a time I let hum get really big by over feeding, but I have him on a healthy diet of 1 cricket every other day, but now that he is getting thin, I think I'll get him on a 1 a day diet. I ams till not sure whether it is a male or female, as White's Tree Frogs are very hard to discern, so I will refer to him as a he. I might do a little vid on him one day. We'll see. I just love the little thing. Frogs are just so amazing.

  40. Glen Blakley March 28, 2016 at 2:11 pm

This guy's reptile shop is in Long Island. It's disgusting. Last time I visited his shop, I saw several dead animals in his display enclosures. The husbandry is appalling and he has no right to tell you how to take care of your pets. He's an animal abuser. If you're considering introducing a reptile to your family, please do proper research. Visit forums, reach out to responsible owners. Understand that your decision is a commitment to give said animal a responsible, loving, and engaging life for the duration of that animal's life. This could be decades. This animal, especially in chelonians, can exceed your lifespan.

Here in Australia they don't even inhabit caves let alone eat bats but i found one with a mouse in its mouth under my kitchen sink , and also " dumpy frog " is not at all what they are called it as a miscommunication of slang it is actually " dunny " which is slang for an outhouse witch is where they are most commonly found hence " dunny frog ".

  84. Victor G January 23, 2018 at 1:17 pm

Isn't that the new new guinea white's tree frog? I thought the more greenish/blue was the Australian type?

  85. RonnyDonny13 February 11, 2018 at 2:50 am

They are not limited to northeast Australia. They can be found almost as far south as Victoria. They can even survive in reasonably arid climates and aren't limited to the moist coastal areas. I live in Sydney and it is currently summer and I have one that sits on the leg of my chair when I'm sitting outside. He often pounces on my leg chasing insects. I even fed it a roach directly from my hand once. Even in the wild they are not scared of humans. They seem to be purely nocturnal as he never turns up until after dusk

  86. Daniel Rajski February 11, 2018 at 9:20 pm

You do realise that frogs arenโ€™t reptiles, right? Theyโ€™re amphibians.

  87. Stephanie Behan February 12, 2018 at 10:21 pm

These frogs he has arenโ€™t that happy at the moment, the are meant to be bright green when happy, not brown.

Handling them a lot is very bad

  98. Ryan Conner December 29, 2018 at 10:13 pm

To be entirely honest, Iโ€™m actually very scared of frogs. Well, unless theyโ€™re small. The only reason Iโ€™m watching this is because the Pac-Man Frog video showed up in my recommendations. Also, while this videoโ€™s topic is about frogs, I live in Florida, and at night, there are frogs that show up outside of my house, and let me tell ya, those suckers are huge. Of course, as I stated earlier, Iโ€™m scared of them. Though there were a couple times where a tiny frog shows up on the side of my momโ€™s van during the day (Iโ€™m 15, despite not having my driverโ€™s permit yet.), and I find them adorable sometimes when they attempt at walking.

  99. florpus March 30, 2019 at 10:54 pm

i would die for any frog

  100. HexagramMan July 2, 2019 at 4:39 pm

Ive caught a bunch of green tree frogs in the great lakes area over the years. I pick them up off the roads along with toads, frogs and turtles and move them to a safe distance from the road. I picked up hundreds of toads though, they do really well up here.
